About Ron Cottee Photography
Ron Cottee opened his first studio in 1982 and recently celebrated 33 fun filled years in the industry. From 50 trips around Australia shooting architecture, industrial and mining, to the studio shooting beer for XXXX and cars for Mercedes, there isn't much Ron hasn't shot over the years.
Ron is one of only a handful of Brisbane photographers with their own fully equipped photographic studio, The White Room, and now available for hire.
Ron is one of those calm, unflappable characters with a wit that makes every shoot a pleasure to be on His quiet confidence instills trust in his craft to all around him.
33 years experience ensures that every shoot is produced in a minimum of time to a highly professional level. Despite this, Ron's pricing is highly competitive, effectively giving you all those invaluable years of experience for free.

Personal Work
After many years of driving Photoshop, Ron noticed the fitness level in his mouse hand had exceeded the rest of him. To offset this he began walking up and down the hills of Bardon. He found the process quite boring so one day he took a camera with a macro lens attached. From that moment on the camera became a regular companion as the magical world of macro flora photography opened up to him, and made getting fit fun. He quickly moved to the Mount Coot-Tha Botanical Gardens and the results can be seen on the Flora page. For a more comprehensive view, click on the flora photo below. By request, the collection has been donated to the Botanical Gardens.
If one considers photography to be the study of light, and music the study of sound, then the two pursuits can be considered a slide up or down the frequency spectrum. After many years Ron recently re-visited the lower end of the spectrum via his guitar. He now plays regular gigs with his covers band, which you can hear below.
